The presentation emphasized Doha's readiness to host this championship and welcome participants from across the world with world-class facilities.
The Aquatics Congress held in Japan also witnessed the handover ceremony where HE Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, Vice President of the World Aquatics Championship—Doha 2024 organizing committee and the Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee was handed the 2024 World Aquatics Championship flag.
This isn’t Doha’s first stint at hosting an aquatics event. Qatar also previously hosted the acclaimed World Swimming Championship (25m) in 2014 quite successfully. It has even hosted World Cup events in swimming, diving, artistic swimming, and open-water swimming.
